Venues and Details

Setting the Scene

Every event has a setting. Grand ballrooms and intimate dining rooms. Landmarked cultural institutions and unexpected spaces that somehow feel exactly right. Waterfront venues with the Manhattan skyline stretching across the horizon. Gardens, carousels, bookstores, and some of the most celebrated rooms in New York City.

Whatever the scale and whatever the style, the details matter — the flowers, the linens, the centerpiece that took three months to get right. My job is to make sure none of it goes undocumented. I've spent decades photographing New York City's most beautiful event spaces, from the grandest ballrooms to the most surprising venues. See the full list of venues where I've worked here.

The space is never just a backdrop. It's part of the story.
