Family and Maternity

The Family You Are, and the One You're Becoming

Some of my favorite sessions happen at this particular intersection — documenting a family as it is right now, knowing that right now won't last long. A new pregnancy. A toddler who won't be a toddler much longer. A family that just got a little bigger and wants to remember exactly what that felt like.

For maternity sessions, I work with the light and the location to create images that are intimate and beautiful — about you, this moment, and what's ahead. For family sessions, I follow the energy of whoever is smallest and loudest and build everything around them. I always get a few composed shots early while everyone still has patience, and then I let things unfold naturally. The unguarded moments are always the best ones.

Many of my maternity and family clients are couples I first photographed on their wedding day, coming back to document the next chapter. If that's you, welcome back. If you're finding me for the first time, welcome — I'll treat this moment with the same care.

Sessions are one hour for families with young children, two hours or more for larger groups or city itineraries. Available on location throughout New York City.
