NYC PHOTO WALKS
Brooklyn Bridge Park, DUMBO & Brooklyn Heights
This walk is literally and figuratively near and dear to me. Brooklyn Heights is my neighborhood — I've lived here for 25 years and I know every corner of it.
When I moved here, Brooklyn Bridge Park didn't exist and DUMBO was still mostly warehouses and artists' lofts. A lot has changed in 25 years and I've watched it all happen.
I call this area Disneyland for photographers — so many visually distinct locations, all within easy walking distance of each other. We may not have Fantasyland and Frontierland, but you'll get an historic district, woodland paths, gardens, a beach, urban industrial architecture, gorgeous brownstone streets, massive murals, and — of course — some of the most spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline anywhere in the city.
If you're looking for variety and those iconic NYC images, this is the walk for you.
Specific locations are subject to availability on the day — but after 25 years in this neighborhood, I always know where to go.
