LGBTQ+
Love Is Love. I've Always Known That.
Long before same-sex marriage was legal in New York, I was there — photographing the protests, the fundraisers, the commitment ceremonies that the law hadn't caught up to yet. When marriage equality arrived in New York State in 2011, I was one of the few photographers anywhere with a portfolio full of real LGBTQ+ couples. Couples who had waited decades. Couples who traveled from states and countries where their love was still treated as lesser. I photographed them all, and it remains some of the most meaningful work of my career.
I'm a gay man. I understand what it means to have your relationship seen, celebrated, and documented with genuine joy — and I understand what it costs when that doesn't happen. Every LGBTQ+ couple I work with gets not just a photographer, but someone who has been in this community his entire adult life.
I work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and non-binary couples, and I welcome every member of the queer community. My spaces are always affirming, and my camera has never once cared who you love.
