Hidden Gem!

Steven is a hidden gem for sure.

I was just browsing for wedding photographer in New York when i saw Steven. I sent him a message and within 10 minutes he replied and after 30 minutes we had a zoom meeting and booked him directly.

We are a couple from Norway going to New York to get married and we wanted to take the photos in the city we both love so much. To have a photographer that know the secrets of the city as well as the hidden gems around is truly amazing.

From the first encounter to the final good bye there was true professionalism, passion and dedication to get the best photos.

We would truly recommend Steven for all future events.

This is not the last time we will use his services.

Great Photos for our Fall NYC Wedding.

Steven was our photographer for our wedding in the fall of this year. He was a pleasure to work with and handled all our requests well.

He was very courteous and we had several guests comment how nice he was. Our photos also turned out great and we were able to get excellent portraits and iconic NYC locations near our venue.

We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see.

He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony Central Park shoot.

A Step Above

Steven definitely has the eye of an artist and it shows in his work.

For our wedding last October; we had Steven do our engagement photos and entire wedding. He is very professional and on time. Very open to collaboration and at the same time we felt very comfortable and confident in his vision and decided upon letting him do his own thing and try to capture the event without much direction from us.

We were very happy with the results. He also did great portraits for our guests (instead of having a photo booth) and will be doing professional photos for us soon. So he's kind of become our go-to photographer of sorts. Will continue recommending him to friend and strangers for this work.

You can't go wrong with Steven as your event photographer. He is very experienced and knows how to get the perfect shots for your special day(s). He comes well-prepared with multiple cameras, lens, etc and is very prompt. He is easy to work with, flexible, and the quality of his photographs is top-notch. Everytime I show photos to friends/family, the first comment is a comment on how the pictures are beautiful. His pricing is very reasonable. Highly highly highly recommend!

Steven Rosen to the rescue!

Attempting to be informal, we had a smallish wedding in a lovely but rather dark Victorian era NYC church. After a last-minute cancelation, Steven Rosen made time in his schedule to photograph our wedding.

Attendees who snapped shots of us with their phones during the ceremony and reception all failed to capture a clear image. On a compressed schedule, Steven was able to quickly capture spectacularly lit shots in the dark church, capture all the moments--even redoing a few when attendees prevented certain shots--and in his bright jacket was able to wrangle two diverse family groups, not all of whom spoke English, or listened very well.

Weddings are stressful enough and many feel that a professional photographer is not needed when so many friends have good enough cameras on their phones. Having been so fortunate to have Steven at my wedding, however, I could not now imagine not having these great photos that captured moments and rare family groupings. I am very grateful to Steven and would highly recommend him.

Working with Steven was great!

My husband and I got married at City Hall and had in mind wandering around the city streets and City Hall Park, etc. This was a bit of an "on the fly" photo session and Steven was not only flexible and down with what we wanted, he found some terrific locations we wouldn't have thought of.

When we got our gallery with the photos we made a short list of ones to order that was anything but "short"! It took us a while to finalize our list because there were so many photos that we loved.

Where do we start.

Firstly let us say that we would highly recommend Steven for your wedding photographer, the photographs he captured for us on our special day far exceeded what we expected.  From our first meeting with Steven to his replies to the numerous e-mails we sent, Steven was always a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much trouble for him.

On the actual day, he his assistant put our nerves at ease and being the perfectionist Steven is, he would always make sure he 'got the shot'. We provided Steven with a 'wish list' of places we would like photographs taken, on the day we managed to do them all. 

Besides being our photographer (and witness), Steven also recommended Brooklyn Promenade as the location for our wedding ceremony, having Manhattan skyline & Brooklyn Bridge as your back drop was stunning. 

All in all we couldn't have been happier so only have one more thing to say 'book Steven as your photographer' :-)

You're in great hands!

Steven shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding, which was in the back garden of a restaurant on a sweltering July evening.

It was super easy to deal with him because he anticipated everything and adapted when unexpected things came up on the day. Instead of doing the traditional stuff during our reception, we had a big, long dinner in a low-lit space crowded with tables. There wasn't a lot to photograph during this time, but Steven took the initiative to grab guests one-by-one and take their portraits in the garden. These photos turned out beautifully and make for lovely mementoes.   

Steven also went well beyond his job duties to make sure we were set up for success. For example, right before I was meant to walk down the aisle, he noticed the venue staff had hung a few of our paper lanterns too low above the aisle. Had he not noticed, and roped our mercifully tall celebrant into raising them, I would have walked through an obstacle course instead of walking down an aisle!  

I totally recommend Steven. He is charming, prepared for anything, and a great guy to have in your corner on your wedding day.
