Couples Portraits

Both of You, This Time

Here's something I understand personally: when you travel as a couple, one of you is usually behind the camera. Which means one of you barely exists in the photos. After 45 years in New York City and 25 years as a professional photographer, I've watched countless couples try to solve this problem with selfie sticks and strangers on the street.

There's a better option.

A couples session is simply an hour or two of having someone who actually knows what they're doing follow you through one of the most photogenic cities in the world. No poses you'll feel awkward about later. No forcing it. Just the two of you, New York City, and a photographer who knows where the light falls and how to make a moment look like what it actually felt like.

Popular locations include Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park, but I'll go wherever the city takes us. I'm happy to suggest an itinerary or follow yours. Sessions start at one hour.
